“A Learning Experience…”

Windmill Country Day School is a private early childhood school established in 1983 to meet the educational and childcare needs of families with young children ages 2 years and 9 months – 6 years.

Philosophy – Windmill Country Day School strives for the development of the whole child: intellectual, emotional, social, and physical. Our objective is to help your child achieve “a measure of success each day” in a nurturing, learning environment. We believe that children learn at different speeds and in different ways. Our programs are adapted to the needs of each individual child. This is achieved in an open classroom setting which is structured enough to set limits; but flexible enough to promote creativity, interest, and challenge.

Curriculum – Our theme centered curriculum is based on the principles found in The Creative Curriculum for Early Childhood and the Massachusetts Department of Education’s Early Childhood Program Standards and Guidelines for Preschool Learning Experiences.

Facility – The school is housed in a pleasant multi-level building. There are three classrooms equipped with age-appropriate materials. Classrooms are arranged in activity centers for enriching play experiences, exploration, and learning.

Communication – We share share special moments during your child’s day through the digital app SeeSaw. Once the app is downloaded to your phone, you will receive notifications to alert you to any new items posted to your child’s individual, private journal. Teachers will also send messages and class reminders.
